Paragliding improvement
Who is the course aimed at?
Those who have already taken the introductory paragliding course and wish to progress in this sport. Also for those who have not flown for a while and want to get back up to date in terms of practice, technique, materials, etc.
Objectives:
To acquire the necessary flight level to be able to carry out high altitude flights with autonomy, perfecting the techniques of takeoff, approach and landing, taking advantage of the ascending conditions to prolong our flight and rapid descent maneuvers with the paraglider.
To take the Catalan Air Federation exams and obtain the qualification that will allow you to fly outside the school and in the company of other pilots.
How long does it last?
6 days and 12 flights.
What are the prerequisites?
- Having completed the introductory paragliding course.
- Having a federation license.
What does the course include?
- Theoretical and practical training at the advanced level.
- Accompaniment by instructors and monitors.
- At least 12 flights.
- Flight log, where the flights made, duration, place, etc. will be recorded, being necessary to obtain the federation title.
Not included:
- The paraglider, the harness, the helmet and the radio.
- The school offers you the possibility of renting or buying your equipment.
- Transport.
Course development:
The courses are held on weekends and during the week if there is a sufficient number of students. Students gather at the school, where their equipment is checked and transport is prepared for takeoff. The most suitable movement is made depending on the weather conditions at the time, and assisted by the instructor, we proceed to take off. In progressive flights, exercises and maneuvers will be carried out with the paraglider that allow us to control the flight under normal circumstances. The level acquired by each student will always be respected when advancing in learning.
